Reading printed labels is the reliable path. Logo matching only runs when the box has little or no readable text, so it can't mistake a care tag's lettering for a logo. Turn it off entirely if you're only scanning tags — the label reader gets the whole phone to itself.
Updates download automatically whenever you open the app with signal. The last copy stays on your phone for offline use.

For faded or stylized tags, Claude can read a photo when you have signal. Paste an Anthropic API key from console.anthropic.com. It's stored only on this phone and sent only to Anthropic.
With this on, when something is in the box for 1.5 s with no readable text or known logo, one photo goes to Claude (at most every 10 s). Logos it identifies are learned for offline use.
